Born and raised in Washington State I have known horses throughout my life. The first I can remember was and old part draft pinto mare my grandparents owned. We visited often on the weekends and you could always find me out back with her. I don't know how tall she was but my head came to about her chest. If I wanted to ride I had to lead her to a fence and try to mount that way. She knew exactly how far to step away to make me miss in a flying leap to reach her back. Eventually she would stand still and we would spend the day trotting around the pasture. I currently work as a structural designer for an engineering firm in Seattle but live across the sound in Port Orchard. |
