I know the rules, have my equine(s) and equipment—now what?
It is time to have fun. Competing is a learning experience as we all have room to improve. You can improve your knowledge and skills and continue to improve the skills of your equine(s) through competition. You will probably make mistakes—perhaps a lot of them! It is OK to make mistakes, perhaps even a good thing, as you will learn through your mistakes. You will see even very experienced competitors “get the Big E”. Life happens! Rules do change, so it is important to stay up with them.
The camaraderie at driving events is wonderful. Drivers share their knowledge, equipment, vehicles, navigators…..the list goes on. Driving competitors are a friendly group. People compete to enjoy the sport and have a good time with their friends—human and equine.
Come join the growing group of Combined Driving enthusiasts.
If you have questions, ask, that is how you learn. If we, at Happ’s, can assist you in some way, please let us know.
